What? I’m Suppose to Be Doing Research?

This is, by far, my favorite part of writing.  It breaks down the whole, tedious process of writing, editing and rewriting to get that “perfect” final draft.  Of course, if you ask any writer, they’ll tell you, they never consider the final draft to be perfect, but hey, what do you expect from a bunch of perfectionists?

When I started this blog, it was in hopes of getting me out of my funk, but I knew I had to focus on something specific, something I’m passionate about.  I grew up on horror and I love watching movies, reading books, and listening to music so I decided to combine them into “Land of Horror”.

So, now I’m doing research for my very first feature piece and I’m having a blast!  This is the way it should be, otherwise, why do we do it?

I remember when I was in my teens, back then I was a writing fool, anything from poetry to short stories, and I even managed to bang out a 275 page book.  Of course, I never published it, but that wasn’t my intention when I wrote it.  It was just a fun thing to do for my best friends, but when one of my friends wakes me at six in the morning, crying, pleading with me to bring the main character back to life, it can get a little hairy, but that just means she was emotionally invested in the writing.  That’s a great feeling!

So, I’m going to continue to post and be merry, even if my content suggests otherwise.
